Kophie Su’a-Hulsbosch is a Ōtautahi-based artist originally from Wānaka and is of Samoan and Dutch heritage.
Her origins began in drawing and graffiti which has evolved across a diverse range of fields, including graphic design, large scale murals, painting, and clothing design. This output is heavily influenced by hip hop culture, street subcultures, low-brow art and sustainability.
A central intention in her work is the disruption of the status quo, reflected in her graffiti and her clothing brand Future Apparel which is a response to the mass production and other ongoing issues evident in the fashion industry by making 1 of 1 items of clothing.
